Curriculum-Based Support Groups

The Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG) Program is a unique, multi-cultural, evidence-based preventive intervention for selective and indicated populations.  The program is designed for youths, ages 4-17, whose high-risk situations, attitudes and behaviors place them at elevated risk for future behavioral and health problems including substance abuse, delinquency and violence. The support group modality sets the CBSG Program apart from other preventive interventions.  Children and youth meet in confidential, small group settings and are taught a set of essential life skills to help them learn how to:  cope with difficult family situations, resist negative peer pressure, respect others, set and achieve goals, make healthy choices, and refuse alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

The I Am Awesome Project

The I AM AWESOME Project is a campaign to spread the word on positive self-esteem, self-assertiveness, and just believing in yourself. This one-hour long presentation teaches participants about positive thinking, personal rights, and rules of assertion. The campaign encourages kids and adults to take the pledge and wear the I AM AWESOME wristband to inspire others to take the pledge too!

85/15 Peer Mentoring

A personal and unique program provided by mentors with real-life experiences using evidence-based approaches and recreational activities that include fitness and exercise as well as activities that promote positive mental health and activation of healthy reactions in your body.
